Been there , done that, got the T shirt ( well actually it wasnt a T shirt , it was a pair of sunglasses , a nice watch and a bf109e !) :smiling5:He then emailed very late on last Sunday whilst, to use his words, he was "Just browsing eBay with beer......"
Oddly enough, about ten years ago, I ended up buying watches on ebay - normally on a Saturday night, after a session in the local - I had enough watches, for a different one every day, plus a spare! Very weird, I stopped buying them, after I changed my local!Been there , done that, got the T shirt ( well actually it wasnt a T shirt , it was a pair of sunglasses , a nice watch and a bf109e !) :smiling5:

Peter , that box art looks like it's coming into land at Kai Tac airport in Hong Kong.Another quick visit to my favourite second hand shop turned up this.
I shall be disposing of the decals on favor of an aftermarket set
Had experience landing at that airport twice before it was closed. Literally can see people in their living rooms as we land. I remember the sharp right turn and we're on the tarmac seconds later.Peter , that box art looks like it's coming into land at Kai Tac airport in Hong Kong.
Just about the only other War canoe I could see me building. That big girl got history! its got to be one of the big four. Yamato, Bismarck, Hood and Missouri. Probably the longest serving Battle Ship ever. 1945 Pacific ocean through to the Persian gulf in 91.Yep, me too! :flushed:
Wanted to build the big mo for a long time, never thought it would be in this scale though! Its big! Bigger than yamato by 7 metres. Have ordered some eduard detail sets and aber barrels for it. Painting the hull will be fun without using a paint roller lol.Just about the only other War canoe I could see me building. That big girl got history! its got to be one of the big four. Lookforward to seeing what is hidden in that big box!
I once flew back to the UK from HK - when taking off, it was disconcerting to see junk masts whipping by the wingtips, seemingly about 20 m away! - I didn't care, I was on my way home, after a 7 month trip!Kai Tac airport in Hong Kong.
