Murfie in hospital.

All the best murfie , hope youre feeling a bit better and heres to a speedy recovery , cheers tony

Managed to walk again today, albeit with a Zimmer frame. As soon as rehab bed comes available I will be discharged from acute care. Movement in the arm slowly returning but long way to go. Seems like I dodged a bullet and am very lucky.

Hi Guys,

An update on progress ...

It's just 14 days since the stroke that removed all movement on the right side of my body, gave me a speech impediment, along with some double vision. As of now the vision and speech have returned to normal. I'm able to walk with a stick albeit slowly. Movement has returned to my arm, wrist and fingers but it is very limited. The doctors and therapists think the recovery is exceptional. I am very lucky. While hoping for a full recovery, I'll happily take whatever I'm blessed with.

I have been discharged from acute care and am now in a rehabilitation centre until next week when I might be sent home depending on more improvement. Your thoughts and best wishes have been so much appreciated and were significant in dealing with the mental side of things when everything looked pretty grim. I am forever grateful.

Cheers,

Murfie

Great news. Just remember you can only eat the elephant one bite at a time....don’t try to rush.

Hi Murfie
That is great news. You're doing so well after only a couple of weeks I reckon you'll be home and back at the bench soon.
