I finished the owner of the White swan Tavern. He is wearing his logo in his beer gut and you can just see the old tavern sign on the right.

Excellent painting john , hes a proper fat barsteward . The two regulars look like theyve had enough ale , just darent think about them navigating those stairs without a handrail

Great to see you back into figure painting John B. Aaw!! ...I was hoping to see a fair maiden with long flowing golden hair in the tower. Well will have to settle for a pot bellied bar steward.

Another guy added. He made me think of Alf Garnet a little so I gave him West Ham colours.

You are really testing your eyes there John. Nice painting, a little on the rough but you've got the highlights where they should be. Blending would soften the edges or are you going the artistic route ala Van Gogh taking to account the viewing distance.
