Ooh exciting when you find something you've spent time looking for and it Infront of you !Nice progress pete , but when were you on my bench ??!!:smiling5:

I've heard about foil being used but never tried it. Does it work very well?Haven't done much recently - combination of getting accustomed to new glasses and the return of the shakes.
Airfix haven't got a spare prop, so I'll just have to repair the one I cut off by mistake. Shouldn't be too difficult, as long as I can get the angles right.
Got it looking like an aircraft now though, the wing roots just needed a little cleanup and a smear of filler on the leading edge.

Masked the main cockpit with Bare Metal Foil, which conforms to curves more easily than Tamiya tape. It's a fairly simply canopy though so I probably could have used tape. The rear gunner/navigator's canopy is a spare so I won't bother masking it.
Next step is to assemble the nacelles:

A bit of a fiddly task as the outer cowl is in three pieces with no real locating pins, so they have to be glued together and to the collector ring around the engine. One down, one to go!
