Joachim.
Very nice , like the natural light from that window .

Really good to see where we all work from. Spending hrs enjoying ( well unless looking for that part that flew into the air )
ourselves.

Imagine, airbrushing the walls.
Someone I used to know, who stopped modelling years ago, apparently painted the roof of the loft where he did his modelling in German WWII “ambush” camouflage scheme.

I've always wanted to paint something in the WWI German aircraft lozenge camo scheme.
Haven't found anything that seems right as yet.

There are some amazing spaces that you guys model within, very impressive, I bet we all look for different things when analysing your workspaces. Barry W - love your paint racks and your draw system, very neat and tidy...

So neat and tidy that it makes me wish I had a photograph of the workbench of someone I used to play WH40K with, as the contrast probably couldn’t be greater. It was literally completely covered — and I mean that: you couldn’t see the work surface anywhere without rummaging around — in kit parts, half-built pieces, half-demolished pieces, raw materials, tools, and just about anything else you can imagine that might appear on the workbench of someone who likes scratchbuilding 40K-like terrain and vehicles from random bits of junk.

Hi. you guys have some great looking work places with good lighting and views of the outside world. For all the years I've been working from basically two places at home, one from the computer room where I do most of my figure painting and reference checking...

View attachment 322364

...the other is in a little corner of the storeroom shared with household items like the broom, mop and vacuum machine which looks a ruddy mess... you can just see the wet kitchen through window...

View attachment 322365View attachment 322366

...If you haven't heard from me for a while, it's because I've been doing some spring cleaning to the above station... adding 16 shelves...about time I throw that bottle of Future and get a new one...

View attachment 322367View attachment 322368View attachment 322369

...finally with all the stuff sorted out...all within arms reach...

View attachment 322370

....I've been modelling for over 30 years and finally will be getting used to attaching my tools up instead of cluttering the workplace...

View attachment 322371

...obviously there is still two walls of mess behind me and upstairs that hold my weakness... it's a good thing I don't golf often...

View attachment 322372 View attachment 322373

...the landing at the staircase is where I display my builds...the only place SWMBO allows me...

That's it...my little world.

Cheers,
Richard

This is my spot in the scheme of things. All of the boxes shelved above the bench contain over 500 unbuilt 1-87 scale models including a U Boat.
my biggest problem is I buy more models than I am able to crank out annually. My stash has taken on a life of it's own. View attachment 322380View attachment 322381View attachment 322382

I realised I had that problem a long time ago already, so I stopped buying things if I didn’t intend to build them Soon™.

Am having much cave envy. Some beautiful spaces. I've since usurped ownership of the Mom Cave. It is now the Man Cave Annex since the outside temps are in the 20s & teens F (the EX-mom cave was heated & air conditioned of course). Moving in pic.

Some great spaces here....love Paul’s music space....and the tricone National in particular....is that a bouzouki with the Mandolin and for string banjo on the rack? Looks too small for a mandobase or mandocello and too big for a mandola .......
