Had my MRI on Monday and some news - they found what looks like a brain! Maybe it's just a lump of plastic made from sanding dust glued together by cement fumes! Who knows? Gotta wait until the end of April to see what the neuro doc says.

PS Anyone who's laid in one of those MRI machines will tell you the noise they make is awful. I got to agree. The rhythms are not as good and the sound is not as loud as my current top playlist album 'Live on Earth' by Omnia!

Hope its good news Gern and they realised it's a brain
Yup sounds like a magnified electric typewriter and locomotive. I kept count of the cycles to stop boredem. 45mins to an hour...could have stuck two fuselage halves.

Cheers,
Richard

DITTO Dave what richard said an i hope you get good results as it dont seem to affect your sence of humor keep on chuggin

Well that's a good thing. Finding a brain that is.
Lets hope that its in full working order.

Hope it is good news Dave. After this they should know what to fix!
Agree about the big magnetic doughnut as well. The thing that I found annoying about the ones I’ve had are that they play music for you that’s loud enough to be irritating, but not loud enough to actually be heard!

They did offer to play some "music" from the 'Now ...' series. I was really polite when I turned down their offer!

Good news so far Dave, I'm sure they'd have told you if they'r seen anything serious/obvious.
I hope your tweezers don't stick to your head now, or are they antimagnetic? :smiling5:

:tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy: I was picturing myself with an Afro hairstyle coming out of the machine. Gern...you must have been an attraction coming off the machine.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Dave
Rotten experience but lets hope the future news is good.

Dave

Firstly congratulations on having a brain! ;)

In all seriousness though, I hope whatever is wrong is not to serious and treatable.

ATB.

Well Dave you are in the right place in the world for all these things.

As a help for you some brain food.
  1. Fatty Fish. When people talk about brain foods, fatty fish is often at the top of the list. ...
  2. Coffee. If coffee is the highlight of your morning, you'll be glad to hear that it's good for you. ...
  3. Blueberries. ...
  4. Turmeric. ...
  5. Broccoli. ...
  6. Pumpkin Seeds. ...
  7. Dark Chocolate. ...
  8. Nuts.
Not sure I fancy to much Tumeric. Pumpkin seeds mmm. wow a seed to far.

So that will do the trick. There is an emission which suprises me. A good bottle of Sauvignon Blanc..
Problem with these experts they get to deep into these things & leave out the essentials.

If you can still make models you are OK Dave> Take care. ;)

Laurie

PS just got my hair cut. Taken 2 pounds of weight off my napper. Relieved brain.

Hope its all good dave , those mri scanning machines arent exactly great are they . I recently had a scan after a slightly raised psa level . I didnt get the option of any music , they just slid me in ! I had to listen to the buzzing and banging for about 45 mins , i did have headphones on but the only thing i heard was the guy saying ‘we’re going to inject the muscle relaxant now ‘ I took my mind off the experience by going through the alphabet thinking of as many kit manufacturers as i could for each letter ( i think Q was the only one i couldnt think of one for !) anyways hope your results are helpful and looking forward to seeing you in the near future if they ever get any model shows going again ! Cheers tony

Dave,
Fingers crossed for good news. Still your one up on me I doubt they would find anything between my ears :tongue-out3:

Thanks guys.

Laurie: Looks like a weird menu in a restaurant. Alas, I live alone and have no talent for cooking so I'll have to stick to the four main food groups - sugar, starch, grease and burnt crunchy bits!

Don't be such a pessimist Paul! There's gotta be something there to hold your ears apart else your head would just collapse! :smiling3:

Now in detail Dave nice chocolate smothered brownies, Frerro Roche Chocs & Bacon (many slices) & eggs (two). Kills all bugs makes you feel good & lowers dramatically cholestorol :tongue-out3: :flushed: ;). All of that of course as perscription every day.
