John,
No biggy mate we all have days like this. The good thing is that those pieces wont be easy to see anyway when its surrounded with the superstructure.

Not to worry John, a cup of tea will fix things. When it's built no one will know........unless you tell them. ;)

Andy.

Take two aspirins and the day off John. I always practise this procedure of visualising the parts with the ones in the instruction sheet and do a dry test run. In that way I don't need to match the numbers and refer to the instruction sheet working from inside out.

Cheers,
Wabble

Very little that a break and a cup of tea can't sort out. As Scottie says we all have days when things don't go as planned. Hope the vision gets back to normal soon.

Youll get it sorted, ive wicked some TET into joins before to soften things up so parts can be removed.

Morning John,
Shame about the mishap, hopefully it won’t cause too much bother for the rest of the build!

Think we all done things like this, so like the chaps say, don’t be too hard on yourself mate!

A break seems like a good plan.

Thanks all, I did carry on yesterday and after a break managed to get a fait bit more done. Dentists to day first thing after lunch and then hopefully back to the bench.

Has a night off from the tablet which is my normal bed time habit and went straight to sleep , 12 yes 12 hrs solid sleep , later feeling much better sight wise Jim .

Will post some photos later.

John.

N:cold-sweat:ot the best of days at the bench. As quite normal for me get things the wrong way around .The gun carriage just about caused me to give it all up .I'm not seeing particularly well to day, the good eye is blurred somewhat and taking some time to adjust .
After pulling various parts apart like the gun mounts.L&R
:crying:

which I glued on completely in the wrong direction.I only notice this when attempting to fit the lower sightbar .B30

At the moment it looks like this .

No longer has it these parts.

Oh well another massive mistake, and I was taking so much care thinking I was doing well .
The next part is

Going to have a break now , a cup of tea I think .
John .

As drunk down on the jurassic coast. You watch John that'll bring the gods own gang out...........tee heee. Dave

453. Who hasn't dropped a bo****k at some time or other putting bits of plastic together. Those that say "Me" have never even opened the box.....

Take a step back and have a brew.

Also, I'm sorry to read of your eye problem. A spell away from the bench will help, I'm sure.

Now it's a tad milder out there, perhaps get into the garden at Race Towers for a day or two.

Stay safe.

Yep, everyone does it. I’ve checked, dry fitted, checked again, then glued the part on backwards (or whatever) more times than I can remember….onwards and upwards John.

Even us on the Continent have such bad habits... :rolling: :smiling6:

Nice work John but you are going to have to get a shuffle on. January is nearly finished, then February, a short month leading to March - that Rhino will be needing you by then.

I once glued the right arm to a figure on the left side. I thought at the time it took a lot of fettling to get a decent fit. It was straight down and apart from the hand it didn't look bad. Mind the other arm on the wrong side made him look deformed so he ended up in the bin.

You could have just swapped his hands over…..the inside out elbow would have been of no consequence ;)

TBH it has happened to me before John, that's why I always spend a considerable amount of time studying the destruction sheet. But then again I don't start on kits right after I buy them...they stew in the stash so I practically know the steps by the time I get to it. Still accidents can happen. :smiling2:

Not you as well Jim, now that surprises me.
