Are there any subjects in the genre you mainly build which are generally popular but just leave you cold?

For me it’s the P-51Mustang and Harrier, both iconic and historically significant aircraft but they just don’t fire my blood

Not sure why, they both have a variety of Mks and markings, the P-51 in particular has multiple colourful options which should be right up my street but I just find them uninteresting

Anyone else have any is it it just me being a bit weird

For me it’s modern jets. Even though there are very colourful schemes around, they are just really boring subjects I find. Also, having no interest in motor racing, F1, Racing bikes, and racing cars also hold no interest. I can appreciate the model making skill on show, but the subject is just of no consequence to me. From a personal viewpoint, and even though I have a deep interest in WW2 subjects, I won’t model SS stuff.

Cars of any kind. Just zero interest. Also anything pre-WW2. My preference is modern jets.

Yeah, I'm not big on cars TBH.
Bikes, yep, WW2 stuff, yep.
Pre WW1 not so much either TBH.
I suppose we just like what we like.....

Seems logical…..mind you, unless you are working from photographs and plenty of references, then everything is a “What if”……based on reality, yes, but still a what if….

I will model most things although I have no interest in Sci-fi stuff or fantasy figures. I appreciate the skills in those genres but they don't float my boat.

"Gundamns" I just hate them. Jets or modern military aircraft and armour. Not all jets mind you, I have always wanted to build a Lightning. Although the Tomcat is a beautiful aircraft from all angles, I just can't bring myself to build it together with the F-111 as they both remind me of battery operated toys running around in toyshop floors with blinking lights and siren sounds.

Not sure I actively dislike anything, but loads that don't interest me in the slightest.
Modern racing cars, warships, WW2 single engine planes, modern tanks and lots more if i thought longer

Nothing really! I've dabbled in most genres in my time - I suppose modern cars are really the nearest to 'irrational'- I admire the skill and finishes but I no longer want to build one

I only really build aircraft, I’ve tried pretty much every other genre but they just don’t hold the same interest for me.

I was wondering more if there is anything you should like ie, it’s the right genre, scale etc but just leaves you cold, if you know what I mean

Have to say not a fan of cars or modern jets either.....like others can appreciate the effort and skill but they don't usually 'move' me in the same way as WW2 or early-ish cold war topics.
