Scale Model Shop

May go dark for a little while

p.s. strictly come dancing are currently looking for contestants for the next season, shall we sign you up mate ?)
Sadly it clashes with the London Marathon and he's committed to that. Running to raise money for Modellers Anonymous - finding a cure for Stashitis.

Glad to hear its going well Tim, just make sure you do the exercises to build up the muscles and soft tissue.

My wife fell down the last two steps of our stairs and fractured her hip.
They considered her too young for a replacement (might live long enough for it to wear out)
Instead she had a repair with screws and a plate, been nine months now and still not back to where she was before.

That’s a bit strange, but I suppose if the hip joint is in good condition then it doesn’t need replacement. I was about 62 when I first went to the GP with this and was given physio because it “wasn’t bad enough”, but I think that was age related and I was considered too young.

They said the way it was broken meant it was a prime candidate for repair.
The wearing out factor was explained and bone on bone is always the preferable choice.
Repair went well, but my wife was only just getting back to full strength after chemo and surgery.
