Scale Model Shop

Churchill AVRE Mk. lll

Wonderful scratch work. That looks much better than both the original and an etched replacement. The sharpness on the edges really stands out like it should.

Hi Scottie
That is so much of an improvement. Each model you make gets better and better - patience, attention to accuracy and of course time and skill.
...... and of course it keeps you out of the pub and away from iffy women - hopefully :rolling:

Pub, iffy women? What sort of hostelry do you frequent Sirrah? I had to get my 'meaningful other' to explain the nuances of that outrageous innuendo! (PS: Where would I find such an establishment?)

Work continues on the hull, the catch on the front for the hatch was a pain lol but didn't come out to badly. Not sure why but I am really enjoying this build.

Andy, I am getting close to my limits the parts in that catch were really small.

Really thought I had ruined the kit. I dropped my soldering iron on to the back deck and managed to melt away one engine cover and damage the surround. Luckily I have managed to repair it and it should be ok if you don't look to closely. The exhaust shield was soldered together and added with the addition of some bolt detail.

The headlamps have been added with the addition of the cables. Also added was some detail to the shackles.

I will have to replace a couple of the rivets as I notice they are out of line.

cheers
Scottie
