Latest Acquisitions (2023)

I may have bitten off more than I can chew Tim, but we'll see how it goes.

I cleaned the slight mould lines up pretty easily but a dash of primer has shown quite a rough (for the size) casting texture on some parts. It doesn't look intentional as its too localised, so more work needed I think.

Not uncommon on that type of figure really. Usually caused by overheated metal I understand. Don’t knock yourself out about it Andy. It is surprising what doesn’t show under a coat of paint. Burnishing the surface with a smooth metal object can help, but don’t try a suede brush as some recommend, it just takes the sharp edges off the casting.

Off topic a bit but.
Is it a bad thing when you open the door for the GLS Delivery man and he chuckles and says "Its not for you this time".

But it does mean you have one in the bag for the next time one is for you!

My wife was being dragged around model shops by our son today and liked the look of this so brought it home for me

Talking of my lad, I'd mentioned that I didn't have many colours for the figure I'd just got so he passed on a boxful of stuff he was given but has never used. Over 40 paints, mostly model color. Not bad for a freebie!

All better than my delivery from Amazon, an empty packet ! Said it was handed to resident, NOT.
At least I was offered a full refund.

A present from my daughter

Very good of the both of them.

Just waiting for my daughter's Father's Day gift to arrive....bit early but I was buying some stuff and she said she's pay for it.

So following the question about how affix windows and canopy masks and various recommendations (here), I thought I would give this a whirl......

ATB.

Its good stuff andrew , just have to be very careful as it can be stringy in application , plus getting the pin back in the needle tube is like threading a sewing needle! Definitely need the optivisor for that !

I was just about to reply with the same info. One more thing to add is that when the tube is new, through capillary action, sometimes the glue just wants to keep coming out of the hypo needle. Be ready with a tissue and the top and you’ll be fine.
