Hi Guys, here is my recently completed model of the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire PR XIX. I dug this one out during the summer with a view to joining Peter's group build, but thought better of it with being really busy at work. In the end I didn't start on it until the beginning of October.

This seems to be an older tooling than some of the Airfix Spitfires, but it went together fairly well and is painted with a combination of AK Real Colour (the grey) and Model Air (the blue) with a little MRP black for the wing walk-ways rather than using the supplied decals.

Here are the pics......

Such a handsome girl in the blue and grey.
Very well built and great paint Nick.

A beautiful Spitfire indeed, you really get the sense of the power these final versions had when you see the size of the Griffon .
well done, you've knocked this well out of the park.

Thanks for all the likes and kind comments guys...

A Spitfire in flying mode, always look good. Your guess about this being an older new tool are correct. I built the 1:72 version of this model some years ago and the panel lines are as deep as these 1:48 ones !
