To all members who sent me their best wishes after my recent stroke, I was able to use the airbrush again for the first time today, priming the parts of a 1/48 ICM Bf-109F. It felt so good to be back modelling once again, something that there was doubt that I could do after the loss of movement in my right side. I'm still weak in the muscles but my dexterity has slowly returned which is quite amazing after just a relatively short time.

Thank you very much to all and sundry who expressed their best wishes for me after 570 posted about my misfortune.

Cheers,

Murfie

Great news, just take it easy and try not to get too frustrated if it doesn't go to plan-you will get there.

Murfie,
good news!.........................................just pace yourself, and don't try to do too much

Thanks, Dave (and to the others above). That I will be doing. I do enjoy doing those small fiddley bits detailing cockpits which is perfect therapy at the moment, helping with dexterity.

Great to hear Murfie!

Modelling should definitely be considered therapeutic!

I wonder whether I could convince my doctor to sign me off with modelling as the prescribed remedy

Bit of life left in the old dog yet! Bit worried though that building all the stash before I go to visit Elvis might be beyond me ...

That is excellent news. Great to hear of your very good recovery.

Good to hear you're back at the bench Murfie, just take it steady & get yourself back to full health.

It's good to see you up and about again.

I shouldn't worry about finishing your stash though Murfie. There's LOADS of folks - including me - who have stashes which couldn't be finished in two lifetimes. Finish what you want and leave the rest to the kids to build or sell as they please like I'm doing.

Great news and a fantastic outcome Murfie. Glad your feeling better and back on the hobby.

Great news...pace yourself pace yourself.

Cheers,
Richard
