Just had a catch up Jim. That is coming on a treat. Looking good.
Some more done 
A bit of poetic licence as far as colour goes. Torpedoes were supplied in grey, as were the boats, but in the Pacific Theatre they were roughly painted OD. I have taken the liberty of leaving them grey purely to add a bit of colour. Similarly with my scratched depth charges. The decals looked terrible. I doubted whether they would work OK but they behaved beautifully

Looking very good. A novice question if you please - did these craft operate on rivers because, if not, I would have thought they would be a different colour?
Looks great Jim. The grey torpedo tubes add contrast. Have read that the torpedo tubes on these were very intermittent with reliability, and it was not uncommon for the torpredo to explode in the tube. 
Hi Jim, I was browsing through the old forum while preparing to post what I had done for the recent MALCOM show and came across your build. It's great to be back and seeing you build this...I have one myself and sits on the shelf waiting for a crew. Where did you get the crew? As you've mentioned, the old kit does have a bit of work to be done up as most of the deck detail is molded on. I enjoyed bringing this up to present day standards even cutting out the forward vision ports. My decals were screwed up off registration. Good to know yours went well. Really looking good and have pulled up a chair.

Hi Stefee, they didn't operate from rivers but docked in estuaries along the islands coasts which were heavily covered in mangrove. The waters in these estuaries were usually very green and the olive drab helped camouflage from the air and against the backdrop of the island foliage. I hope that helps.
