Amazing , looks totally real ,the metal finishes are especially good , cheers tony

I'm no expert, but that bike seems to be competition winning level. What metallics do you use. I've always been a fan of Alclad, but they are difficult to get these days.

For this model, None.

The only paint is the black bits.

MFH kits are mostly made from ‘white metal’ which covers a multitude of sins. Theirs is quite hard, a bit like Britannia metal, so I experimented with how many different finishes I could get with it, ranging from mirror finish (the fuel tank) to dull casting (crankcase) and about 6 finishes in between. Believe it or not all the metal on that model is EXACTLY the same stuff, just treated differently with polishing, pigments, filters and washes.

It’s also difficult to paint. So called etching primers mostly don’t, and even then only on ferrous metals. I tried everything with this - at least 10 different ones and they all chipped looking at it. In the end MR Metal primer was the only thing that worked. As well as a stupid name it’s really weird stuff in as much as it’s clear for some reason? A primer. Clear, don’t get it. Works though.

That is one beautiful model.

It makes me want to get on and ride it away.

Another non bike builder but as a model maker I can appreciate an outstanding piece of work. It is so lifelike, like others have said, definitely a competition winning model

Superb. Cant say more. The readable tax disc is an absolute show stopper. Lawrence of Arabia’s steed wasn’t it?
