That's really nice. Very cute All done in 24 hours - did you sleep, eat or go to the loo!?!

Mike,
really nice build - if there's something more difficult than a biplane, it's a parasol - especially in 1/72, the gluing areas for the wing are so small! I've done one or two in 1/48, and the wing attachment has always given me grief - the ICM Henschel Hs 126 springs to mind!

Lovely job. Never heard of the kit manufacturer or the aircraft type before. Both look worth remembering though.

KP are an old name - 1968 - in Czechoslovakia, but now are produced by Smer, in the Czech Republic interestingly they make a Sopwith 'Swallow' monoplane No.2 - both used the fuselage of a Sopwith 'Camel' , differing in the size, position and shape of the wing. Bizarre that a Czech maker produces models of rather obscure British prototypes!

Thanks for the comments! I'm now considering the Sopwith Swallow that Dave mentioned, but taking a bit more time with it. (For some more obscure 1/72 British types ckeck out the Avis range.)

That annular winged job looks really strange Mike. Some really obscure stuff there!

Nice job on the Scooter Mike. Crisp and neat under magnification. :thumb2:

Cheers,
Richard

That is a little stunner of a build. I could not come close if I had a month to build and another to paint it in!

I love the way that you have painted the wings. The small detail of the "light shinning through" and being able to see the serial codes on the top surface from below. Any chance of a hint of how you did that!?

Love it.

Thanks for your comments guys, I appreciate it.

Thanks Ian! I did it with some home-made decals, printed out on a colour laser-printer. Once applied I sprayed the doped linen colour to fade them right back. These pics should help explain, and I used a similar approach for the ribs on the upper sides. I guess I could have masked and painted all this– but not in 24 hours. (Excuse the watch in the photos, it was part of the requirement of the online build to document progress in real time).

That's a seriously great little build. Nice trick with the decal serial.
