discussion At what point is your "stash" getting out of hand?

As mentioned elsewhere, my self imposed limit is six, currently it stands at 4+1
One out and one in works for me, so few I can remember them easily.
I have a Citroen 2CV, Chernobyl Radiation Monitoring Station, Tempo Kastenwagen and European Tram.
In progress is a Citroen HY Van, thinking of getting a Trabant when this is completed.

Mind you i've got nearly as many airbrushes as I have kits
Actually if you count the spare body shell with small cup I have.

The attic fleet stands about 40 mainly 1 350 and 6 1 200, inc 2 x pontos sets. Did sell 10 last yr. 2 of them will no doubt be replaced when Very Fire release Kongo and Nagato. Will sell a few more this yr, inc the Border yamato. Biggest problem is what to build next. I look at the stash and think that kit will do, but next visit i change my mind and on and on lol. But have finally chosen one!

I don't smoke or drink and have 4 vices, julie of course, a nice car, ships and books! Thankfully I can afford the spends as sadly apart from 2 small legacies i was the main beneficiary from mums will. So as Julie says as more stuff arrives, you don't go down the pub, if you enjoy playing with plastic, crack on??

Next spend is to fit out the modelling room when we actually find a bungalow!

I went through my stash today, after decaling - I found 11 that I can’t see myself doing so I think I will list them or I may just go straight to charity and send them to models for heroes. I would like to say my stash seems better for it, but it still fills two shelves.

When you prepare to move house and you get the stash out of the loft and the wife starts giving you funny looks and making comments about how many boxes there is

Expensive but very effective loft insulation, you could argue you're reducing your carbon footprint! Ha!

My stash got out of hand quite a while ago, I've attempted multiple stash reduction strategies, non have worked . . . yet!

Ah being Julie's birthday we have a cake stash! I bought one then three afternoon teas arrived plus a cornish one! So god help my scales lol

It is made from flour like bread, bread = “the staff of life” therefore cake must be considered in the same category.

Also fruitcake will contribute to your 5 a day so is almost health food.

For those of us who struggle with 'five-a-day' might I suggest that a family size fruit cocktail trifle fits the bill very nicely!

WELL my stash is smallish so 1 X 32nd scale F16 but build is started THAT airbounre sent me an 1x 32 nd scale HAWK that langy sent me AN a 1/48 monogram B58 HUSTLER an a 1/32nd TORNADO GR1 an an 1/350 tamyia enterprise to build an a 1/17 SCALE class dominator combine with over 4 an a half thounsd parts an 7 eletric motors as it all works an 375 pages of instructions in two manuals SO i think this lot will see me out an the hornet build im currently building SO I WONT BE BUYING ANY MORE KITS
